The slope to enlightenment

Part of the Rokugo Manzan group of temples. Buddhism evolved into something a bit different in the Kunisaki Peninsula, Oita Prefecture. Buddhism and the nativist belief system, AKA Shinto, are very tightly intertwined, more so than in other areas I have visited.
